Karim Benzema has been the subject of a wealth of transfer gossip this summer. The 27-year-old Real Madrid striker has been repeatedly linked away from the Bernabeu with Arsenal and Manchester United potential suitors.
It was reported that Arsene Wenger had a £30.1m bid turned down for the French international last, and there are rumours that he's now preparing a £40.5m offer to take him to The Emirates stadium.
Despite his agent Karim Djaziri telling Sky Sports News that "Karim is very happy at Real Madrid and he will be a Real Madrid player by the end of this transfer window, 1,000 per cent," the former Lyon striker has done little to quell speculation with his latest Instagram post.
The picture is of Benzema relaxing in his private jet, but it's the caption that has attracted a lot of attention.
The caption states "Leave the past in the past. #rip" and is accompanied by another hashtag #tothefuture. Further speculation extended from the fact that the Real Madrid squad are on a tour of China.
As transfers are at this point essentially decided by social media posts these days, we can assume that Karim Benzema is definitely, most certainly, 100% moving to the Premier League this summer.
