Last night in Sligo the reigning champions Sligo Rovers and, league winners in 2010 & 2011, Shamrock Rovers played out a scoreless draw that did neither side any favours as they chase leaders St Patrick's Athletic. The best chance of the evening fell to Sligo's David McMillan who saw his penalty saved by former Sligo keeper Richard Brush.
In this vine posted by the official Sligo Rovers account you can see how deflating the penalty miss was for home supporters;

Sligo Rovers remain in third and are now 6 points behind St Pats. Shamrock Rovers are in 5th, a further 4 points back (and have played a game more than St Pats and Sligo). The teams meet again on the final day of the season in Tallaght.
