After claiming his fifth Champions League winners' medal, Cristiano Ronaldo appears to be in a somewhat contemplative mood.
Although the statistics would suggest this has been another astounding year for the Portuguese, the 33-year-old's brilliance has been a little more sporadic this season.
With the wonderful overhead-kick against Juventus in the Champions League quarter-final showing what he could still do, tonight marks the first of his winning finals on which he did not find himself on the score-sheet.
Speaking afterward, Ronaldo hinted that he is entertaining the possibility of calling an end to his goal and trophy-laden career at Real Madrid:
Now it's time to enjoy this.
In the next few days I'll give the fans, who have been by my side, an answer.
It's been great being at Real Madrid.
Stressing that "the future of any player isn't important" on a night that the club "made history," there had been no real hint in the build-up to this final that Ronaldo was considering his future.
Having achieved such a great deal with Madrid, there is undoubtedly some feeling that the Portuguese may only go down from this point.
Of course, there is also the chance that these comments appear more suggestive than they are in reality.
One thing for certain is that in the coming weeks, the former Manchester United man may well become the subject of plenty transfer rumours.
