After walking through the shadow of the valley of death and taking a look at himself, Coolio has realised that he is a Glasgow Celtic fan.
Rod Stewart need not worry about his 'celebrity Celtic fan' title just yet, but the legendary US rapper turned heads by showing up to watch the bhoys take on Hibernian on Saturday afternoon.
Coolio was the guest of Tommy Sheridan, the former Scottish politician who he befriended on Celebrity Big Brother back in 2009, and helped out with the half-time draw that was renamed from the 'Paradise Windfall Draw' to the 'Gangsta's Paradise Windfall Draw' in honour of the Compton native's biggest hit single.
Needless to say, many Celtic fans were surprised when Coolio did a lap of honour at half-time with the song blasting out through the stadium PA.

This is THEE single most bizarre thing I have ever seen. Coolio. Is at Celtic Park. With Tommy Sheridan. Tommy Sheridan. Why? For what reason? How do they know each other? How did this come about? I need a lie down. pic.twitter.com/MBBYik3Rt4

That is just wonderfully random.
The friendship between Coolio and Sheridan is very real, with the rapper stating that he expected to meet up and have dinner with his former Big Brother housemate when he returned to Scotland [via EveningTimes.co.uk]:
I have some people in Scotland I consider like my family. Tommy Sheridan is my good friend. We still keep in contact. I will probably go to his house for dinner when I come to Scotland like I did last time.
I met his family and he has a lovely family. Hopefully we will get a chance to hang out, I would like to introduce him to some of my friends. Tommy is good people. I like his conviction. He stands up for what he believes in and I like that.
Good to see that they did get to hang out, and now Sheridan can look forward to Coolio showing him around Compton.
This is not the first rapper to declare their love for Celtic, but few can say they have done a lap of the pitch with their music playing for 60,000 fans on match day. The man did the theme tune to Kenan & Kel, we're talking about hip-hop royalty here.
The result may not have gone as expected as Hibs earned a 2-2 draw, but at least Coolio had a cracking day out at Celtic Park.
