It was quite a day to forget for Jose Mourinho and Chelsea. The Blues suffered their fifth Premier League loss in their opening ten games, in which they lost Nemanja Matic to a red card and several of their backroom staff were sent to the stands.

Mourinho himself was banished to the stands in the second half, and it was widely believed that this was because the Chelsea manager visited the referee's dressing room at half-time.

According to the BBC, this isn't true. Yes, Mourinho did visit the referee's dressing room, and yes he was sent to the stands after that visit. But Mourinho was asked into the dressing room at half-time so that the referee could inform Mourinho that he was to be sent to the stand. Which is a very new thing for referee's to be doing.
