Aston Villa's revival under Dean Smith continues; the Villains picking up a 3-0 win today away to Frank Lampard's Derby County. A quick-fire treble came by way of John McGinn, Tammy Abraham, and, scorer of the best of the lot, Ireland's Conor Hourihane.
The Irish midfielder has some form for these kinds of goals. Back in September, he scored something of a carbon-copy; albeit from a greater distance.
From an angled free-kick that wouldn't necessarily look to suit the left-footed free-taker, Hourihane made it look relatively straight-forward. A beautiful effort struck into the corner of the net, it left Derby's Scott Carson looking pretty helpless.
Although we've yet to see him recreate this kind of effort with the Republic of Ireland, let us hope Conor Hourihane delivers it sooner or later. For now, enjoy this.
