Nottingham Forest have confirmed Martin O'Neill as their new manager.
O'Neill, who won two European Cups with the club as a player, succeeds Aitor Karanka. The Spaniard was sacked late last week.
"One of the original and most-loved ‘Miracle Men’, Martin is finally realising a life-long dream in managing his beloved Nottingham Forest," said the club in a statement.
With his commitment to the club, knowledge of the game and passion to succeed, O’Neill will be aiming to take the club back into the top flight of English football and make the miracle happen again.
There is no word from the club on who will be part of O'Neill's backroom team at the City Ground.
The Irish Sun reported on Monday that Roy Keane will be a member of O'Neill's staff.
