Portsmouth and Republic of Ireland international Ronan Curtis is reportedly a target for Championship club Blackburn Rovers.

The 23-year old has been in superb form since joining Portsmouth from Derry City and currently has 11 goals this season. He recently won his second PFA League One Player of the Month award in a row.

Per the Lancashire Telegraph, Blackburn have watched Curtis in action this season and have been impressed. The attacker is in the final six months of his contract but his deal reportedly includes a 12-month extension clause which the club can trigger.

Curtis has three Ireland caps having made his debut in November 2018. Portsmouth are still in contention for promotion, with the club currently seventh in the table.

Blackburn manager Tony Mowbray has confirmed he is interested in several players but the price must be right before a deal is agreed. The club are also hoping to hold onto their own Irish international, Darragh Lenihan, who has been linked with a move to Chris Wilder's Sheffield United in the Premier League.
