You'll may have been enthralled yesterday with the story of  Jay Hart, the former Clitheroe striker who was sacked by his club after being filmed having sex with a supporter in the dugout of Evo-Stik Division 1 North rivals Mossley FC.

To be fair to Hart, it is a extremely unfair to have your embarrassing laundry aired in such a public manner but he is not really helping himself with his apology for the incident.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Hart offered his apology to his family, his club and, in particular, his girlfriend.

All I want to say is that I regret doing what I did. I was drunk, I'd had more than a few drinks, and I want to say I'm sorry to my family and everyone involved at Clitheroe.

I regret that I did it, not that I got caught.

All well and good, but what of the other individual involved in this tryst? He's less worried about her it seems.

I haven't seen the girl since, I don't have a clue who she is, don't have a clue.

Delightful.
