A petition to prevent Tom Cleverley from playing at the World Cup for England has over 7,500 signatures after a "fan" from Blackpool set up one on change.org
Cleverley has endured a miserable season for Manchester United where amazingly, despite being way down on the list of problems at Old Trafford he has emerged as scapegoat in chief. England manager Roy Hodgson has now attracted the ire of the mob after he picked the midfielder for their upcoming friendly against Denmark.
The petition also features some charming comments such as:
I wish to save him from shaming his country and his family by continuing this fascicle charade. The only way he should appear on my TV this summer is on Rogue Traders for pretending to be a footballer. Also, his lack of ability and beady little eyes lead me to believe he might actually be Welsh.
Tom Cleverley is footballing genocide.
