Cillian Sheridan helped keep Jagiellonia Bialystock's Polish title hopes alive on Wednesday night. The Cavan man fired the opening goal of his side's top three clash with Lech Poznan.

With just over a quarter of an hour elapsed, Lithuanian Arvydas Novikovas cut the ball back to Sheridan. The former Celtic player fired a low shot past the keeper - it was his fifth goal of the season. Jagiellonia would go onto win the game 2-0.
