Christian Benteke's Aston Villa career appears to be coming to an end. The 24-year-old Belgian striker has scored 42 goals in his 88 appearances for Villa, and it's that form that has prompted the huge interest in the striker.

Liverpool's chief executive Ian Ayre has negotiated that they will pay Villa half of Benteke's release clause up front, with the second half being paid in installments.
