Kris Boyd caused a stir with the Sky Sports panel as he was adamant that Celtic shouldn't have been awarded a penalty in the first half of their match against Livingston earlier today.
Livingston had disrupted The Bhoys in the opening half at the Tony Macaroni Arena, keeping them scoreless up to halftime but many felt that Celtic striker Kyogo Furuhashi was fouled in the box but referee Don Robertson felt there wasn't enough in it.
The Sky pundits were split in the studio as former Hoops man Chris Sutton and former Scotland International Robert Snodgrass both felt the referee made a mistake and a penalty should've been awarded.
However former Rangers frontman Kris Boyd felt otherwise, feeling Kyogo went "down before the contact was made" and Celtic were correctly not awarded a penalty. It led to a disagreement between the two pundits.
🗣️ "I'm really surprised Don Robertson wasn't sent over to the monitor to have a look... Kyogo gets to the ball first."

Boyd: You've had to look at it numerous times and still couldn't make your mind up. That's not a penalty. It's not clear and obvious. That's never a penalty, never a penalty.
He's already down before the contact is made.
Sutton: Well he's not.
Boyd: Well he is. Watch. He's already on the way down.
Sutton: You're watching a different game, as usual.
It's fair to say that the two pundits didn't see eye to eye on this one.
Celtic Get Past Livingston To Overtake Rangers
The deadlock was broken early in the second half as Livingston defender Jamie Brandon was unfortunate to score an own goal after several ricochets in the Livingston six-yard box.

A second didn't come to Celtic until the latter stages of the contest as Paolo Bernardo scored a low driven shot into the bottom corner before Matt O'Riley finished the contest off ten minutes from time after finishing off a well-worked move.
⚽️ "Well you might as well give your goal difference a boost when you're embroiled in a title race!"

The win puts Celtic above Rangers by one point, though Rangers do have a game in hand.
The Old Firm rivals face off against each other next week at Ibrox next Sunday, with the winner likely to finish in top spot at the close of the first phase of the Scottish Premiership.
