Former Man United shirt captain, Mr Mike Smalling, looks set to leave the club in a shock loan move to Roma just days before the European transfer window closes.
The Guardian are reporting that Roma will pay a €3m (£2.7m) loan fee for the season but with no option to buy the player next summer. Smalling has fallen out of favour with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, particularly since the arrival of Harry Maguire to the club, with the centre back yet to make a first team appearance this season.

While the rumour has come suddenly out of the blue today it looks like the deal could be as good as done. Farewell, Mike.
