Brighton and Hove Albion announced Chris Hughton as their new manager today.
The former Irish international takes over from Sami Hyypia on a three and a half year deal.
The club is currently fourth from bottom of the Championship but the 56-year-old sounds enthusiastic.
I'm thrilled to be back in management and Brighton & Hove Albion is a fantastic club, with a first-class infrastructure both in footballing and business terms.
We've got one very obvious initial challenge, and I am aiming to hit the ground running, but I am confident with the resources at the club we can succeed in retaining our status in the Championship.
Once that is achieved we can work towards getting the club back challenging at the top end of the division.
Brighton made the playoffs in 2013/14, finishing fourth but this season has been a completely different affair. They've only won four games. Though they have drawn 11, the joint second most in the league.
So some slight improvements could see them shoot up the table in 2015.
