This time last year, Chris Forrester was still playing League of Ireland with St. Pat's.
12 months on, he has a season at Peterborough under his belt - one where he was named BBC Cambridge's Peterborough Player of the Season. He also received a call up to Martin O'Neill's provisional squad for the friendlies against Switzerland and Slovakia back in March.
On Tuesday, Chris Forrester took another step in his development as a footballer when he was named Peterborough captain by manager Grant McCann.
The reason I chose Chris was because of his temperament and his character, two attributes that I feel will make him a good leader. His ability is there for all to see on the pitch.
He might not be the most vocal man, but what he does on the pitch inspires others and when he speaks, the team listen.
I said to Chris, 'just be yourself, there is no need to change' and I am confident he will take it in his stride. He played an awful lot of games last year with the Irish season into a full Football League campaign, so he will be able to cope with this league season no problem.
Just one season into his time at Peterborough, it speaks volumes of what the club think of him as a player.

For his part, Forrester says it's a challenge which he is relishing.
I had a chat with the gaffer and he is confident in me, I am really looking forward to it, it is a new challenge for me and one that I am relishing.
I joined last year and had a decent season and I want to build on that. I try and let my football do the talking and how they see me, hopefully I can lead by example and try and add some things into my game and improve my communication skills. It is a challenge, but one that I am really looking forward to.
