Chris Coleman has emerged as the new favourite to become the next Ireland manager, with Neil Lennon and Lee Carsley seemingly out of the running.
The Welshman enjoyed huge success managing Wales, which saw them climb to their highest ever position in the FIFA World Rankings, while also making to the semi-finals of Euro 2016.
Since then he has taken charge of Sunderland, Chinese club Hebei China Fortune, and Greek Super League team Atromitos.
He was sacked from the first two, and left Atromitos earlier this season after a run of poor results.
Chris Coleman's Son Sticks Up For Father On Twitter
Off the Ball's Stephen Doyle questioned his recent record on Twitter, but Coleman's son, Sonny, was on hand to respond and give more context to the difficult situations his father faced in China and Greece:
Atromitos he took over a team 8 points adrift. Kept them up that season, sold all assets. Spent zero money came 8th, then after that. Resigned when they cut the budget. Hebei, have them the best finish in history 6th. Season after budget chopped in half

Chris Coleman’s last three jobs:
Atromitos Athens - 61 matches played, 1.13 points per match average
Hebei - 29 matches played, 1 point per match average
Sunderland - 29 matches played , 0.79 points per game average
Absolutely awful option to be the next Ireland manager.
