Chile booked their place in Brazil last night with this 2-1 win over Ecuador at the Estadio Nacional in Santiago.

As is tradition in the Chilean capital, the locals took to the streets after the game, and to Plaza Italia in particular, right in the centre of Santiago. While the location serves as the stage for scenes of jubilation and mass celebration, it's also the venue for riots and water canons, even following victories for the Chilean team.
However, last night's qualification for the World Cup brought only scenes of joy and festivity, as Chilenos celebrated their team's victory over Ecuador and place in next summer's showpiece.
