"Childish" - Jose Mourinho In Peculiar Form After United Slip Up At Leicester

It has been yet another frustrating night for Jose Mourinho and his Manchester United side. Yet, he remains certain that he "is happy ... as a man", at least.

With Leicester City trailing 2-1, down to 10 men and United creating chances frequently, Mourinho's men conspired to concede a late equaliser and drop two points.

While the Premier League title already looks a foregone conclusion, there will be some consolation for United that Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool only managed one point in this round of matches.

Lamenting the "mistakes plus mistakes" that United made in their own box while defending, and in Leicester's while attacking, Mourinho was perhaps correct in suggesting that his side should have scored "five or six" in what he deemed was an "easy match to win."

With Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard both guilty of spurning straight-forward opportunities, Juan Mata scored a brace for United after Jamie Vardy had opening the scoring for Leicester City early on - a record-breaking goal for the Englishman.

Having already expressed his disappointment with United's difficult run of games over the Christmas period, Mourinho will - if he hasn't already - be certain now that the Premier League title is not going to be his in his second season with the club.

Akin to their ill-fated campaign for a top 4 finish last season, the prospect of an FA Cup or even Champions League run will now become crucial if 2017/18 is to have any semblance of success for United this season.
