Chesterfield came from 3-0 down to grab a point against Ebbsfleet in the English National League on Saturday.
Still, nine minutes into injury time, Ebbsfleet looked like they were about to win the game.
Ebbsfleet had built a 3-0 lead by the break and were cruising well into the second half until the home side got one back through Tom Denton.
Former Celtic and West Brom forward Marc Antoine-Fortune - now 37 - got another back for Chesterfield in the 83rd minute.
In the fifth minute of injury time, Will Evans popped up for what would be his first moment of heroics when he headed in the equaliser.
Following that goal, there were some ugly scenes as Chesterfield fans rushed onto the pitch in celebration. Ebbsfleet goalkeeper Nathan Ashmore was attacked by a fan as he lay on the ground.
In statement, Chesterfield said they were fully co-operating with an investigation into the incident. There were also allegations of racial abuse from Chesterfield fans towards opposition players.
The action did not end with the chaos of the supporters spilling on to the pitch.
In the 96th minute, Chesterfield had goalkeeper Callum Burton sent off after he tangled with Michael Cheek in the box.
Centre-back Evans stepped in as an emergency goalkeeper due to Chesterfield having used all of their substitutes.
Evans saved the penalty from Cheek in the 99th minute of the game.
Here's the penalty save.
