Chelsea Look To Ireland's Euro 2016 Group In Search For Manager

His confusion over whether he's facing Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland this summer notwithstanding, Italy's slick young gaffer is highly rated by chairmen everywhere.

Reports from England tonight suggest Antonio Conte is being sounded out by Chelsea with a view to taking over as non-interim manager for the start of next season (though all Chelsea managers are interim managers really, whether they wear that tag or not).

Conte has made plain his desire to return to club management following Euro 2016. He is one of three candidates who Chelsea are examining closely.

Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri is about to commence talks on a new contract with his current club.

Diego Simeone's contract has a £17m buyout clause and he has a strong bond with the Atletico supporters.

Conte managed a host of smaller Italian clubs in the late noughties before being appointed Juve manager in 2011. He promptly kick-started a new era of dominance for the club within the Italian game, one which is still in full swing.
