Chelsea this week confirmed that left-back Filipe Luis, who only joined the club last summer, is set to return to Atletico Madrid after failing to settle in England.

Jose Mourinho revealed that he thinks Cesar Azpilicueta, or "Dave" as he is known by Chelsea fans, is the best left-back in the Premier League and thus struggled to find game time for Luis, but now The Special One appears to have found someone to compete with the Spaniard in the Chelsea squad.

Sky Italia are reporting that highly rated Augsburg left-back Baba Rahman, who is also believed to be a target for Arsenal and AS Roma, is closing in on a move to Stamford Bridge, with the fee believed to be in the region of £14m.

The Ghanaian impressed in the Bundesliga last season as his Augsburg side finished in a highly respectable fifth place, and would be another young prospect fighting for a place in the Chelsea squad along with the likes of Kurt Zouma, and Rueben Loftus-Cheek.
