It's been a dramatic past couple of days in the Marc Cucurella transfer saga. Finally, Chelsea have announced the signing of the Spanish full back for a fee of around €60 million, but their admin couldn't resist a dig at Cucurella's former club.
On Wednesday, trusted transfer specialist and journalist Fabrizio Romano tweeted a 'Here We Go' tweet stating that a deal had been completed between Chelsea and Brighton for the signing of Marc Cucurella.

Just over an hour later, Brighton released a statement saying:
"Contrary to inaccurate reports from numerous media outlets this evening, no agreement has been reached with any club to sell Marc Cucurella."

Unsurprisingly, fans and twitter users were quick to jump on Fabrizio Romano but the Italian journalist's information proved to be correct as Chelsea tweeted this earlier today.
Chelsea announce Marc Cucurella signing
"Following reports from numerous media outlets this week, we can confirm an agreement has been reached with Brighton and Hove Albion for the signing of Marc Cucurella."
It has to be said, it's fantastic shithousery from the Chelsea admin and Romano was quick to reply with his famous catchphrase "Here We Go" in the replies.
Cucurella becomes Chelsea's fourth signing after Raheem Sterling, Kalidou Koulibaly and Carney Chukwuemeka.
Brighton have replaced Cucurella with the loan signing of 19-year-old Levi Colwell from Chelsea.
Other Chelsea transfer targets
It doesn't look like Chelsea's business is finished yet with Football London reporting that Thomas Tuchel's side are preparing a bid for highly rated, Leicester centre back Wesley Fofana.

Despite the reports, Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers has insisted that the French defender is not for sale.
Speaking about the future of the in demand James Maddison and Wesley Fofana, Rodgers said:
"These players are not for sale. These are very important players to us. We’re in a situation where we need to move some players out but that doesn't mean getting rid of anyone & everyone and especially not our best assets."
With Chelsea coming under scrutiny over some results in pre season, the signing of Marc Cucurella will help bolster their squad depth, but whether spending €60 million on a full back while already having the €50 million Ben Chilwell in their team will pay off, is yet to be seen.
