Former Chelsea doctor Eva Carneiro has settled her constructive dismissal case against her former club, Chelsea. Following two days' of evidence, the case has ended in a confidential settlement.

Dr. Carnerio left Chelsea following a public dispute with Mourinho in last season's game against Swansea City. Carnerio rushed on to the pitch to aid the injured Eden Hazard, a move which evoked the fury of Mourinho, as it would mean Hazard would be forced to leave the pitch for a portion of the final few minutes of the game.

Dr. Carnerio and her colleague, Jon Fearn, were demoted by Mourinho following the incident, and Mourinho was accused of swearing at her in Portuguese, alleged that Mourinho used the phrase "filho de puta" or "daughter of a whore".

Chelsea have released the following statement in the last few moments, where they acceopt that Mourinho was fully in the wrong.

Mourinho's being in the wrong seemed fairly blatant at the time, so it is good to see that has now been confirmed, the delay in doing so notwithstanding.
