Last month, Charlton fans staged an extensive protest both prior to and during their game against Middlesbrough.
Beforehand, a funeral procession was held for the soul of the club. The fans believe it is being destroyed by owner Roland Duchatelet and his viceroy Katrien Meire.
During the game, fans threw black and white beach balls onto the pitch. It delayed proceedings for four minutes. Later in the match, despite the team being ahead and their continued support obviously being important, fans staged a walk out.
Charlton went into the game against Middlesbrough eight points adrift of safety. The interim has not seen much improvement. Before they faced Birmingham today, they were six points into the relegation mire.
Relegation woes, serious debt and a lack of care in the running of the club have seen fans continue their protest.
Today it was not beach balls but stress balls which were thrown onto the pitch.
