The fourth round of the Champions League group stages is at an end and already several sides have secured their spot in the knock-out stages.

Juventus, Bayern Munich and PSG are all mathematically safe while numerous other teams did their chances the world of good after tonight's action.

In Group A, PSG and Real Madrid are out in front. With a total of seven points, Real Madrid are now five points clear of Club Brugge after Wednesday night's 6-0 win over Galatasaray and on course to qualify.

Group B is similarly one-sided. Bayern Munich have four wins from four while Tottenham's 4-0 win over FK Crvena zvezda has them four clear of the third-placed side. Spurs' final game is against the German champions.

In Group C, Manchester City are well five points clear despite being held to a draw in Atlanta. Shakhtar Donetsk and Dinamo Zagreb will fight out second spot as both teams are tied on five.

The final action from today was in Group D. Atletico Madrid are just three points behind group leaders Juventus with Lokomotiv Moscow and Bayern Leverkusen both on three points. It makes that next tie between the La Liga outfit and the Old Lady all the more interesting.

Last night, Liverpool moved one clear of Napoli to take their total to nine in Group E. They play Napoli and Red Bull next.

In the other two groups, Barcelona are still not fully secure despite leading on eight points. Dortmund are just one point off with Inter Milan still in the hunt on four. RB Leipzig's three wins has them two clear of second-placed Lyon and five away from Zenit.

The most competitive group remains Group H. Chelsea, Ajax and Valencia are all tied on seven points with Lille last on one. The Premier League club still have to play Valencia and Lille.

The final two rounds will take place at the end of November/start of December.
