Liverpool and Manchester City have been dealt tough assignments in the next round of the Champions League after this morning's draw saw the clubs paired with Atlético Madrid and Real Madrid respectively.
Since the English clubs finished on top of their groups, while the Madrid clubs only made the unseeded side of the draw, they will travel to the Wanda Metropolitano and Santiago Bernabéu stadiums for the first legs of the ties before hosting the return legs a month later.
Meanwhile, Chelsea will also face a tough assignment as they will host Bayern Munich, the only side to win all their groups games, before a daunting trip to the Allianz Arena in March.
Last year's European finalists Tottenham Hotspur will face RB Leipzig. Other noteworthy ties of the round include: Borrusia Dortmund v Paris Saint-Germain and Napoli v Barcelona.
This year's Champions League final will take place in Istanbul at the Ataturk Stadium, the same venue that hosted Liverpool's famous victory back in 2005. It will be played on Saturday, May 30.
Draw in full:
