It has long been believed that one of the players who 'betrayed' Jose Mourinho, and one of the major contributors to the toxic atmosphere that has caused Chelsea's baffling failure to launch this season, was Spanish midfielder Cesc Fabregas.
The main reason for this theory is fairly straightforward, as Cesc's performances on the pitch have dropped in standard noticeably, but it seems that all is well between Fabregas and his former boss judging by the tweet that he sent upon hearing the news:
Thank you for all you have done for me. I owe you a lot and we will all miss you. Good luck in the future. pic.twitter.com/RQlOTFrtzU

Or is that just what he wants us to think?
That certainly seems to be the opinion of Off The Ball's Colm Parkinson anyway:
@cesc4official clever

The Chelsea fans, however, did not see the clever aspect of that tweet and instead seem to have been very upset by it, resulting in a lot of hateful posts taking up Cesc's notifications:

@cesc4official You're a massive part of the reason he's gone! Rather than thank him, you should be apologising to him!

We should point out that there is no evidence, or even indication from the Chelsea camp that Fabregas is the reason behind Mourinho's departure, this is simply the opinion of some clearly pissed off fans.
