Celtic returned to the top of the SPL this evening with a convincing win over Kilmarnock at Celtic Park.
James Forrest opened the scoring with a delightful volley on six minutes after a deep cross from Emilio Izaguirre:
Odsonne Edouard was the next man to breach the Kilmarnock defence on 25 minutes after a well worked move saw the French striker poke home to double the advantage:
Kilmarnock would get back into the game at the start of the second half, with Rory McKenzie winning a penalty against Filip Benkovic, which Eamonn Brophy duly dispatched.
But that's as good as it got for Kilmarnock, with James Forrest adding a fifth on 67 minutes for Celtic after a filthy nutmeg from Ryan Christie:
The win sees Celtic leapfrog Kilmarnick go top of the SPL on 33 points, though Rangers will have the chance to go level with them should they win against Dundee tomorrow.
