Celtic are interested in signing Belgium international, Timothy Castagne, according to several reports on Thursday.
The right-back, who has two caps for Belgium, currently plays for Atalanta.
According to the Daily Mail, Celtic have launched a £6 million move for the 23-year-old who is unsettled at the Serie A side.
Castagne was reported to have recently said that he speaks more with Belgium national team manager, Roberto Martinez, than Atalanta boss, Gian Piero Gasperini.
I spoke more with Roberto Martinez in one day than I spoke in a year and a half with Gasperini. I need playing time to stay. Everything can go very fast in the world of football.
It's said that Castagne, who is under contract with Atalanta until 2020, is viewed as a possible replacement for Mikael Lustig. The Swede is out of contract this coming summer and has been linked with a move to AIK Stockholm.
Celtic are also reportedly close to acquiring Timothy Weah on a six-month loan deal from PSG. The son of AC Milan and PSG legend, George Weah, is said to have been convinced to join Celtic following conversations with Brendan Rodgers and assistant, Kolo Toure.
