Celtic suffered a disappointing 1-0 defeat to Hearts this afternoon in the Scottish Premiership's early kick-off. A wonderfully volley from Kyle Lafferty was enough to give the home side all three points, but, in the post-match assessment, it is Hearts' Steven Naismith who is getting most of the attention.

The former Rangers and Everton man was caught up in some both hot water after the conclusion of last year's corresponding tie between the sides; a shocking stamp on Celtic's Scott Brown going unpunished.

This time around, Ireland's Jonny Hayes was on the receiving end of Naismith's frustrations. Having joined Celtic from Aberdeen last season, the Dublin-born Hayes found himself starting on the right-wing for Celtic this afternoon.

Becoming embroiled in a collision with Naismith during this afternoon's game, the Scot didn't take all too kindly to Hayes' attention, and showed him as much when the Irish winger was lying injured on the floor.

Proceeding to stand over the prostrate Hayes and shout in his face, it isn't a scene that paints Naismith in the most favourable light.

After what was only the second game of the league season for Celtic, Brendan Rodgers' side will now look toward their next league game against Partick Thistle in one week's time.
