Celtic have been forced to write to fans over suggestions that body odour may be affecting the match going experience. The Daily Record are reporting that a letter was sent out to certain section of supporters reminding them that it might be a decent idea to have a wash before heading to the stadium.

It had initially thought that the letter was a hoax, presumably one created by their cross-town rivals. But no, it has been confirmed that it is in fact genuine.

The correspondence in question was written supporter liaison officer, John Paul Taylor, whose job is to act as a point of contact between fans and club. Taylor took the action after he was asked by other supporters to do something about what they felt was becoming a problem in the stadium.

Taylor, although later deleting the tweet, did confirm that the letter came from the club as opposed to someone looking to get one over on Celtic fans.
