Only a matter of hours after drawing 0-0 with reigning league winners Cork City in Turner's Cross, Shamrock Rovers welcomed Brendan Rodgers' Celtic to Tallaght in what is a pre-season friendly for the Scottish side.
A fixture that brought out many fans of both sides in Tallaght, Celtic were understandably comfortable winners. Gearing up for a series of games in the Champions League qualifiers, Rodgers was clearly keen to get some match practice in; naming the likes of Scott Brown, Moussa Dembele and Odsonne Edouard amongst the starting XI.
Getting their break early on, Dembele finished off a wonderful move by Celtic from one end of the pitch to the other.
Looking above and beyond their League of Ireland opponents, Celtic went on to score three more goals in a first-half that ended 4-0 in their favour: Edouard (2) and Callum McGregor with the goals.

The second-half picked up where it left off for Celtic and Shamrock Rovers. It didn't take long before McGregor had his second and Celtic's fifth.
Celtic's sixth came through Scott Sinclair in what will certainly go down as the goal of the game in Tallaght.
Although Lewis Morgan may well have something to say about that. Running from deep inside his own half, the Celtic man left the entire Shamrock Rovers team with no hope whatsoever, before calmly finishing.
