Replays showed that the Frenchman should have been ruled offside.

Minutes later, Rangers had an opportunity to get back into the game through Alfredo Morelos. The Colombian was fouled in the box by Jeremie Frimpong, a moment which also saw the 18-year-old Dutchman sent off.

As the rain poured down at Hampden Park, Morelos got to his feet and took the penalty. It was saved low to his right by Celtic goalkeeper Fraser Forster.

Despite being down to 10 men, Celtic held out to beat their rivals.
