The Boston Celtics basketball team may not be alone in owning that name much longer.
The Sun and the BBC are reporting that Celtic are exploring the possibility of establishing a franchise in the NASL, with Boston being targeted as the most likely home.
In this, they will follow the lead of Manchester City, who own the New York City FC.
The NASL is the second tier of American soccer and Celtic have already held talks with League officials, examining the possibility of establishing a franchise.
Boston already house the New England Revolution franchise, but SB Nation contend that the city can accommodate two sides playing in different divisions.
