Leigh Griffiths has had a tumultuous time at Celtic over the past couple of years. He has dealt with issues off the field, ones that kept him out of the second half of the 18/19 season.

He was also a bit part player for the first half of last season, only to play a major role in Celtic's successes with his goals in the second half of the campaign. However, he turned up for pre-season severely out of shape.

That didn't go down well with Neil Lennon, who left the striker out of the travelling party for a trip to France. Having returned to fitness, he is now in hot water again.

Griffiths hosted a birthday party for his girlfriend, with images appearing on social media showing that Scotland's social distancing guidelines had clearly been broken. This came just after eight Aberdeen player broke social distancing rules by visiting a bar in the city last Saturday.

Celtic released a statement this afternoon to say that Griffiths and others at the club had been 'reminded of their responsibilities'

However, many Celtic supporters feel this latest incident is the final straw for the player at the club.
