Celtic are taking a serious look at St. Patrick's Athletic teenager Darragh Markey. He will travel over to Celtic for a bounce match on Saturday.
His agent Gerry Carlile spoke to the Press Association about the possibility.
He will go over for one day for a game. He will have a look at them and they will have a look at him. There are a lot of clubs interested in him. He is still a St. Pat's player but we will see what happens.
Formerly of Cherry Orchard, Markey was signed by St. Pat's during the 2014 season and was drafted into the senior squad at the start of last year.
Markey appeared sparingly during the 2015 season. He has attracted the interest of a number of Premier League clubs.
Distressingly, Darragh was born on 23 May 1997.
This prompts the question: When are we going see a lad born in the 21st century play in a European League?
