It's safe to say that Adam Idah's loan move to Celtic has worked out brilliantly for the Corkman.

Having struggled to make an impact in his time at Norwich City, Idah was sent out on loan in January in an attempt to get him more regular game time and revitalise his career.

The initial reception from Celtic fans was cool, with manager Brendan Rodgers forced to stick up for the Irish international on his arrival.

Idah has rather comfortably come up with answers to the questions hanging over him at Celtic.

The 23-year-old has scored five in five Premiership appearances, including a dramatic injury-time winner at Motherwell on Sunday afternoon.

After Idah scored again for Celtic in Wednesday night's 7-1 demolition of Dundee, club legend Chris Sutton suggested that he may end up looking elsewhere for a permanent move when his loan deal ends this summer.

Celtic: Chris Sutton tips Italian clubs to come for Adam Idah

Sutton played for both Norwich and Celtic during his playing career, giving him an intriguing insight into the crossroads Adam Idah will likely find himself at this summer.

In his column for Norwich City fan site Pink Un, Sutton suggested that Idah may look away from both clubs when a decision is to be made on his future at the end of the season - saying that Idah could follow several young Irish players in making a move to Italy:

He has taken to life at Celtic like a duck to water, and that is only good news for Norwich City.

It's early days, but he looks like a slightly different player at Celtic. It's not fair to say he was going through the motions at Norwich, but you always felt there was more in there to be extracted.

If he does well at Celtic, I suspect he will want to stay. But the lack of option in the deal will keep potential other suitors interested. It wouldn't surprise me if those Italian teams who displayed a keenness in January to do a deal returned to the table.

The likes of Festy Ebosele, James Abankwah and Kevin Zefi are among the Irish prospects to have moved to Serie A clubs in recent years, with varying success.

Before his switch to Celtic was confirmed, Idah had been linked with Serie A clubs Genoa, Verona, and Sassuolo.

If his electric form in Glasgow continues, it's hard to imagine that Adam Idah will not be in high demand when the summer transfer window rolls around.
