Ray Houghton let slip it was his birthday on twitter today. On this day, back in the year of our lord 1962, Ray was born in Glasgow, the son of a Donegal father (like so many other people born in Glasgow).
The only goal in Stuttgart in '88, the only goal in the Giants Stadium in '94 - it's fair to say our race memory would be rather different had Ray never been selected to play for the green.
