If Rafa Benitez has a kindred spirit in Westeros, it's probably Sansa Stark: both have a bad habit of attracting the worst kind. Benitez has worked with some truly awful owners in football, with the difficulties of working under Florentino Perez, Roman Abramovich, and Massimo Moratti paling in comparison with the absurd fallout between George Gillet and Tom Hicks at Liverpool.
Benitez has never been afraid to speak out about his bosses, right back to his time at Valencia, and he has been particularly outspoken about the challenges of working with Mike Ashley at Newcastle. He has consistently bemoaned the lack of transfer funds at his disposal, and his threat to resign lingers over all of these complaints.
