In March of last year, Carlo Cudicini joined the Ireland U21 setup as goalkeeping coach.

The former Chelsea keeper did his UEFA B licence with the FAI and replaced the retiring Alan O’Neill in the role. It now looks like Cudicini will have less time for that job.

Last month, GianlucaDiMarzio.com reported that Cudicini could become part of Antonio Conte's backroom staff at Chelsea. The 42-year-old's many years in England would assist Conte in his transition to the Premier League.

Yesterday evening, during the Euro 2016 final, Cudicini appeared to corroborate Di Marzio's information.

Cudicini spent a decade at Chelsea between 1999 and 2009 before swapping Stamford Bridge for another London club - Spurs.
