Cardiff Replace Chief Scout With 23-Year Old Kazakh

According to Walesonline, Cardiff City's chief scout, Iain Moody, has been suspended by eccentric owner Vincent Tan and has been replaced by unknown 23-year old Alisher Apsalyamov, from Kazakhstan, thought to be a friend of owner Vincent Tan’s son U-Jiun, who has no previous experience in football.

As a result, Bluebirds manager Malky Mackay has jumped to the front of the managerial sack race in the eyes of the bookies.

Moody, who had been head of recruitment at Cardiff City Stadium, has been Mackay’s most trusted lieutenant and has played a key role in helping deliver signings during the manager’s successful two-year spell in charge.

Apsalyamov has been at Cardiff since February, acting as executive assistant to CEO Simon Lim, but it's believed he has spent several weeks shadowing Moody. Cardiff should be fine then...
