Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher will likely start in nets for his third Caraboa Cup final appearance in a few weeks time, but it looks certain to be his last with the Reds.
The Irishman may have played a key role in winning the trophy previously, and is hoping to do so again, but ultimately remains as the club's second choice goalkeeper behind Alisson Becker.
According to former Manchester United scout Mick Brown, Chelsea are very keen on the Cork native, and would be more than willing to pay the asking price for Kelleher in order to bring him to Stamford Bridge.
When speaking to Football Insider the chief scout claimed that the London side would have no problem paying the asking price of £30-40million for the shot stopper.

“For that price, I’d be more surprised if they didn’t make a move. I think he’s a good goalkeeper.
“He’ll be looking at the situation he’s in at Liverpool and his chances of becoming the number-one goalkeeper there, with the other options they’ve got. So if that pathway is blocked, I can see why he’d want to move.
“I can also see why Chelsea are interested in him. They want to sign a new goalkeeper to help strengthen defensively.
“If Kelleher is available for £30-40million, I think they’ll be all over that looking to get it done.
“Not only is he a good option now, as he proved, but I think he can get better too.”
Chelsea are not exactly shy in the transfer market, splashing large sums every summer to try and bolster their squad, but despite some big purchases, they haven't been able to find a reliable goalkeeper that you would consider to be world class.
Kelleher has been the scourge of Chelsea, keeping two clean sheets in the two League Cup finals that they met in, so the London fans have seen first hand just how good a keeper he really is.
