It's set to be a summer of moves for plenty of goalkeepers in the Premier League ahead of the 2023-24 season, and Irishman Caoimhín Kelleher is among those who will be looking for a fresh start.
The 24-year-old Corkonian has proven himself to be one of the league's best back-up goalkeepers at Liverpool over the past few seasons. It has been hard, however, for Kelleher to force first-team opportunities, such is the world-class ability of the club's number one Alisson Becker.
Kelleher is widely expected to look elsewhere this summer, with Liverpool understood to be open to allowing him to move away should the right offer come in.
Reports in recent weeks had linked him with Brentford, but the latest reports surrounding the Bees suggest that another Premier League high-flyer could be the best option for Kelleher this summer.
Caoimhín Kelleher: Brighton looks like best option for Irish 'keeper
Brentford are likely to be in the market for a new goalkeeper this summer, with the highly-rated David Raya expected to be sought after by some of the league's biggest clubs.
Caoimhín Kelleher was one name mentioned as a potential replacement for Raya - but reports on Monday suggested that Brentford have looked elsewhere, with Mark Flekken of Freiburg now the prime candidate to step in as the club's number one.

Kelleher had also been linked with two other Premier League clubs in need of a new 'keeper. Spurs now seem to have their sights set on Gavin Bazunu - who is, of course, Kelleher's main rival for the number one jersey at international level.
Of the clubs initially linked with Caoimhín Kelleher, Brighton now seem the most likely option.
With Brighton's manager Roberto de Zerbi impressing fans this year with his team's dynamic style of play, Kelleher would be an upgrade on both Robert Sanchez and Jason Steele with the ball at his feet.
A move to the AMEX would see Kelleher link up with Irishmen Evan Ferguson and Andrew Moran, and likely see an increase in his game time.
Irish fans will hope that both Caoimhín Kelleher and Gavin Bazunu can seal Premier League moves this summer and push each other hard for the national team's goalkeeper slot.
