When Callum Wilson is fully fit, there are few better goalscorers in the Premier League. The striker has scored 41 goals and registered 16 assist in 125 appearances in the division. That includes 14 goals and 10 assists last season.
He had an issue with avoiding injury at times, but he has been a consistent fixture in the Bournemouth side this season. Unfortunately, their dip in form has resulted in a drop in his personal goal tally.
Bournemouth's relegation was confirmed this evening, meaning Wilson is sure to have no shortage of suitors this summer as a result. He could even be available for a cut price fee.
According to Mail Sport, Callum Wilson could be available for as little as £10million this summer, despite signing a new contract with Bournemouth last year.
It is believed the forward earns around £110,000 per-week, a salary which will likely have to be offloaded now that they have been demoted to the Championship. Spurs are believed to be monitoring the situation, as are Newcastle.
Having just turned 28-years old, Wilson should have another couple of years left at his peak. On his day he is an excellent striker and would be a great pickup at that price for any Premier League club.
If he is to force his way back into the England squad he would need assurances of first team football, however. That could rule out Spurs, where he would act as understudy to Harry Kane.
Newcastle could certainly do with some reinforcements up front, with £40million signing Joelinton only managing to find the back of the net twice this season.
