The Ah, Whatever It Is Currently Sponsored By Cup is on tonight, with sides vying for a spot in the quarter-final. Roy Hodgson's Crystal Palace travelled to Ashton Gate to take on Bristol City in search of a bit of relief from their deep Premier League travails, and in quintessential Palace fashion, they have snatched indignity from the jaws of a winnable game.
Palace took the lead before wobbling and then imploding, trailing at half-time and trembling by full-time. They eventually lost 4-1 to their Championship opponents, the final blow delightfully delivered by Irish international Callum O'Dowda.
Remarkably, it's O'Dowda's first goal for the club.
You can watch it below.
Poor Palace. They can at least be consoled by the fact that this time next year, Bristol will almost certainly be their equals. In the Championship.
