A shop-assistant has been suspended for calling John Terry a pig while he shopped at an All-Saints in Surrey.
As Terry perused the selection of hideous low-cut t-shirts on display at the shop in the up-market Bentall's centre, 23-year-old Elisha Ram commented:
He is quite good looking in real life — but he’s a pig.
Her remark - intended for a friend - was over-heard by the 33-year-old Chelsea star and his wife who immediately confronted her. Ram said that she made the comment because she had read reports claiming Terry had cheated on his wife.
She was of course referring to rumours that emerged in 2010 concerning a decidedly average, now retired, left-back, and his now ex-girlfriend Vanessa Peroncell.
Elisha Ram seemed surprised that her comments caused such offence considering she had also paid Terry a compliment.
I wasn’t being horrible, I just said my opinion — I even said he was quite good looking.
We can definately see where she's coming from; it should be totally fine to call someone a pig - just so long as you tell them that they are sort of good-looking, when they're not on the telly.
