This is mad. Cafu, the World Cup winning captain of 2002, has tweeted in praise of Liverpool fullback Jon Flanagan after the rampant Reds' 4-0 demolition of Tottenham yesterday. 21-year-old Flanagan has the somewhat ironic nickname of RedCafu and has been a constant and impressive member of Brendan Rodgers' side this year. Like his Brazilian nickname-sake, Flanagan is a right back but has been playing on the other side to accomodate the inclusion of Glen Johnson.
Still uncapped by England at senior competitive level, Flanagan is also eligible for selection by Martin O'Neill.
Good to see the RedCafu is playing well! Liverpool amazing to watch!

Cafu is relatively new to Twitter and had plenty to say about Liverpool and the Premier League.
Can Liverpool win the league? I think maybe... Chelsea are very strong but in a storm right now. City have a big squad.

I will need to come to Anfield this season or next season, perhaps for a Liverpool v Chelsea game.

I watch many Premier League games, many Brasil players - I see mostly Chelsea but often Manchester clubs and Liverpool and Spurs.

“@ClarkeyCFC: @officialcafu Which Brazilians have impressed most in the Prem this season?” All! But Willian, Coutinho, Fernandinho mostly!
