The extent of the damage caused at the training pitches of League of Ireland club Cabinteely has been illustrated by drone footage above the scene of the crime at Kilbogget Park.
A burnt out car was discovered at the scene after the the surface had been vandalised by tyre tracks. The club posted pictures of the vandalism on Saturday, asking: "How do we tell our players, some as young as five, coaches, managers, families and volunteers that we won't be able to train or play on these pitches for weeks, maybe months?"
Drone footage captures the extent of the damage caused to the Kilbogget Park football pitches. It's even worse from the sky, at lease two of the pitches have been totally destroyed by hundreds of tyre marks #Cabinteely @CabinteelyLife @Cabinteely_FC @seapointrfc @OFFICIALFoxCab pic.twitter.com/eOg6sM7cku

Since the incident on Friday night, the club have been overwhelmed by the levels of support they've received.
The response to the destruction of pitches in Kilbogget Park has been overwhelming. Very heartening. Hopefully some good will come from this. Thanks to other clubs for their messages of support and offers of help. Thanks also to the local Cllrs who got in touch and to Minister [Mary Mitchell O'Connor for her involvement at a difficult time for her.
[Cabinteely FC] would like to send our sympathies to the Minister on the recent passing of her mother. RIP. We are seeking meetings with [Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council] and [An Garda Síochána] for an urgent restoration of the pitches and plans to prevent a recurrence of this nature. Thanks again to everyone for their support. #cabofightingback
