Crystal Palace ended last season with a superb run of form under Alan Pardew, as they laughed in the face of a relegation threat following the dismissal of Neil Warnock in January and ended up with a highly respectable 10th place finish.
Palace are clearly looking to improve on that position if their transfer activity is anything to go by, as the Telegraph have today revealed that the club have agreed an €18m fee for PSG midfielder Yoann Cabaye.
Crystal Palace have agreed fee of up to 18m euros (£12.8m) inc add-ons with PSG for Yohan Cabaye. Club record deal if player agrees move.

Massive statement of intent if Palace can get Cabaye deal over line. Fee agreed. More on Telegraph football.

Cabaye would be a statement signing for Palace if he makes the move from the French champions, and after shining for Newcastle under Alan Pardew, there is a good chance that the two could be re-united in London.
Cabaye has regularly been linked with a return to the Premier League, most notably with Arsenal, but if he agrees personal terms to join Palace then he would become the club's record signing.
